  1. The UK doesn't have any natural resources ? You're having a laugh ! North Sea oil and gas ……shame we don't drill it enough. Population 50 to 60 Million ? You're having another laugh …..more like 70 to 80 million

  3. Thank you. I really appreciate that someone outside of Japan understands the pain of average working people in Japan.

  4. Actually you're missing a critical piece of this equation. In 2022 the JPY dropped nearly 50% against the USD (Going from 110 JPY to now 160 JPY to the dollar). So in USD terms, Japan would have needed to have like 50% inflation over the last 3-4 years just to keep GDP identical in USD terms. As someone who lives in Japan and can attest to how significant the 4% inflation we've had is, That inflation needed to maintain GDP in USD terms would have caused a literal economic collapse. If you look up the Nominal GDP in JPY, The growth is actually Staggering for an economy of Japan's Size. 2022 – ¥570 T(rillion) Yen , 2023 – ¥595 T , 2024 – ¥646 T , 2025 – ¥671 T . That's 4.3% , 8.5%, 3.8% Nominal Growth in Japan's JPY Denominated GDP, and a consistent all-time record GDP numbers (Hitting 600T Yen for the first time ever in Q2 2024, a goal since 2015), Not Bad for a country that's struggled for decades to hit 2% inflation.
It's only because of the relative massive swing relative to the US Dollar that the GDP looks negative in USD Terms. In reality here in Japan on the ground, Japanese are making more JPY than in previous years and are spending more JPY in the economy than ever before (or at least since the 1980s).

  5. My guess is that Japan has tricked the West for decades and outsourced risk in the form of yen carry trade, and will soon reel in that in the form of a snowballing unwind.

  6. I believe a hard economy is actually the best time to build. While others complain, I focus on execution and a solid strategy. I made a smart move in early 2026, stayed the course, and just hit $1M. The momentum is great,

  7. I do have a question. For someone with less than $100,000 to invest, How would you recommend we enter the market. I'm looking to study some traders and copy their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally.. What's your take on this approach????

  9. That doesn't make any sense if they print money and convert it to usd someone else got the japanese yen and they will probably spend it in the japan economy and create inflation. You can't just print endless currency without decreasing it's value.

  10. Your video is very interesting. I am a Japanese expat in the US. Japanese government is actually collecting tons of money through taxes including consumption tax and inheritance tax, for which I am too afraid to go back.

  11. japan is not dying. japan is already dead…
    we are already in heaven.
why are you so worried?

  12. Economy is bad but the average price of condo in Tokyo has reached $1M, how did it happen?
I am from Japan and go to Japan often, and every time I think Japanese are still moderately rich.

  13. Not enough money (credit) has been circulating in the peoples economy since 90s through small regional banks all gone to big corporations for their investments not for real productions. Solution: Credit creation in the small family businesses and bring back productions to Japan.

  15. My guess is that they have no choice but to take advantage of the weak yen. Japan doesn't have factories in its own country because of the impact of the strong yen.

  16. I can't agree more.
BOJ has been the source of Yen-carry-trade for the entire duration of the so-called lost 30 years.
The stupidity of the past heads of BOJ including the current one made the Japanese population so poor except making handful of already-rich people even richer.
The docile Japanese voters allowed this gross social unfairness.

  17. Key is the BOJ's intentional devaluation of JPY against USD. BOJ rode on the US inflation followed by interest rate hike to achieve cheaper JPY.

  18. Tired of seeing these same old a$$ videos of Japanese economy. Ppl are only seeing through salary, debt, being wealthy where they doesn’t use their brain that the cost of living is so much high in Western Countries including taxes, nominal wages and annual income that all of your spendings won't even left at the end of the month and for that reason wages have to be high in those countries.

  19. Looks like you're reading a script instead of stating the actual reason because this same info is used in many videos 😂😂

  22. Yessssss Japan Must not Trust & Pay All to F** king USA ? Becarefull !
    THEY are behind your Wealths
They will Bomb You Again like HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI Last time ⏲️ S
Sorry Japan LOVE ❤️ YOU TOO ❤️

  23. Same thing which had happened in Japan has been happening in China now, however China's debt is tremendous and numbers they published are all fake. And they will be in deep trouble due to finishing population bonus, and China hasn't been cleared yet the middle income trap, and social security will be heavy burden later or soon. Japan will be rising up gain, this will be sure.He hasn't done study of how much Japan has asset overseas and domestically. He is wrong
