It would be great if the US and Japan can build a high speed railway system connecting Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. This would greatly spur economic activity, commerce and mobility, moving goods and services would be cheaper, faster and more convenient. It would also decentralize highly congested Metro Manila. No more waiting for hours or days trying to board a bus or a ship.
This Luzon Economic Corridor will not happen because its the Philippines who proposed it anyway and not US or JPN.
