  1. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire (476 CE), Western Europe went dirt poor. Meanwhile, during that period (Tang and Song dynasties in China), China was indeed the richest and most technologically advanced civilization in the world. Eventually, the tables turned during the Industrial Revolution. After the fall of the Qing dynasty, the Chinese went dirt poor. Meanwhile, beginning the Industrial Revolution, European powers had become rich and dominant. Unlike the Chinese (when they where rich and powerful), the West colonized and enslaved other races. Today, the West is in its early decline and China is on the rise again. Give another 100 years and see the history repeats itself.
