I love how everyone tries to explain "benefits" to a weak currency. Sure, it supports exports but it's at a discounted price. Yes, youi'll export more if you sell it for less profit. Simply put, a weak currency causes inflation and a strong currency effectively deflates prices.

Japan and Korea are almost certainly coordinating with the US. A weak yen/won is bad for Japanese/Korean citizens and bad for US exports. Bad for everyone.
