Why Japan Is Moving Billions From China To India And Why Beijing Should Be Worried

Japan just made one of the biggest investment pivots in Asian history and China is the reason why. At the 2025 India-Japan Summit in Tokyo, Japan pledged a staggering 68 billion dollars to India over the next decade, doubling its previous target. Japanese investment in China has collapsed by 70% in just four years, while investment in India has surged sevenfold. New Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, known for her hawkish stance on China has fully backed the deal and is planning a visit to India in July 2026. Meanwhile, real money is already moving on the ground: Toyota, Suzuki, and Honda are investing 11 billion dollars in Indian auto manufacturing, Japanese semiconductor firm Renesas is building a chip plant in Gujarat, and Tata’s Assam semiconductor facility is targeting production in 2026 with Japanese technology. This is not just economics. It is geopolitics in slow motion and India is at the centre of it.

  1. Nobody in China gives a shit about India. Yet everyday I see something about China in India media 😂

  2. Japan companies in China are already dead. Moving them over to India can only mean one thing, dead still.
China will take over all the Japanese companies.

  3. "& Why is the Godi media still unable to see the real situation of Indians in India & still sitting in a rich Godi being selfish as always…"

  5. It is not China that is or should be worried. Japan should be worried. In a few years we will be hearing about huge fines to Japanese companies and longer term the brands of Japanese companies will be tarnished due to the huge drop in quality from made in India. 🤣
India have found another sucker due to their anti-China stance. India should thank China. 😂

  8. Who cares about the funny games between Japan and India? Let's simply see the results of so-called over 15 years already high-speed rail project between these two fading nations. China as the biggest manufacturing giant to worry about two dwarfs??

  9. The idea that “Japan is fully shifting to India” is basically turning supply chain de-risking into a geopolitical replacement story.
    What’s actually happening is:
Chinese domestic companies are rising and manufacturing costs are increasing → foreign companies are no longer expanding in China as much, and instead are spreading new investments across multiple countries (including India), rather than pulling out of China.

  10. 中国都能放弃美国那么大的市场和投资,会在乎印度和日本?别忘了你每年主要的进口国还是中国,中国可以不要印度任何产品,但是印度必须进口中国工业产品和稀土,电池。。。。
